The latter portion of Warfield's career was devoted to a new concept: Interactive Management. Developed in conjunction with Dr. Alexander Christakis, and first deployed significantly at the University of Virginia in the early 1980's, this methodology was intended to help organizations solve complex problems. Warfield and Christakis brought their Center for Interactive Management to George Mason University, and developed an impressive list of clients.
By the 1990's, the Center for Interactive Management was no longer an established entity, but the work of Interactive Management continued, conducted by diverse organizations around the world.
